The Bank Cafe

Tucked among the hills, a stone’s throw off the “beaten track” is the village of Creemore: a beautiful village where rolling hills invite you to wander. Be sure to visit The Bank Café, a new and unique place to dine. In the heart of Creemore is a historic landmark, originally known as The Toronto Bank in 1896, it then became the Creemore Village Library and now is home to a distinctive café – The Bank Café. The Bank Café has become an inviting place to visit. Although, due to the Covid19 current crisis, The Bank is offering take out only.

Owners, Charlene Nero and Natalie Seltzer, have been in the catering and food business for many years. Charlene ensures “there’s always a friendly smiley face. We delight people with our food and keep them happy while they wait”. Both Charlene and Natalie take pride in their belief that local is better and have “always eaten what’s fresh and cheap -what we pick from the backyard – and it’s still what we do”.

Charlene sits on the Board of Simcoe County Farm Fresh and uses fresh local meat and produce in almost everything they make, even local walnuts and native heart nuts! In a small place, the girls have packed in a lot of goodness. You can enjoy organic coffee from Alternative Grounds, created by Kevin Walters; the first fair trade coffee roaster in Ontario, freshly baked goodies from Roseberry Farm, and the ever so famous Danish pastry with a cranberry pecan sauce – to die for!

The coffees are great, the food is simple with a gourmet twist and the cinnamon buns are highly addictive!

You can pick up freshly made frozen items at the café including a variety of delectable soups, home cooked lasagna, meat pie, and their traditional macaroni and cheese.  All made from scratch. The café has internet access and is a favourite meeting spot for locals, visitors, artists & authors so please visit us and dine in once the Covid19 crisis has come to a hault. Located at 179 Mill Street, Creemore. Call 705-520-Café (2233) to book a catering event in the future. You deserve it!
